HornCraft Music is a small, home-based music business based in Smithers, BC that is committed to supporting the vibrant music community in the Northwest. Our focus is
- to provide high quality repairs of all woodwind, brass and string instruments
- to provide quality instrument rentals at competitive rates
- to offer sales of new and used instruments and all related accessories
- to act as a hub to connect musicians and community members with all related events and services available in the Northwest.
Michael Nelligan is the owner/operator of HornCraft Music. Michael has obtained a Diploma in Musical Instrument Repair from Keyano College in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a two-year intensive program that has now become the standard for professional-level training within the industry in Canada. Michael also received specialized training in string repair from the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technician’s (NAPBIRT) University Credit Program near Chicago, Illinois. Michael has been studying and repairing instruments since 2005.
